FILO PFAS-Free Nomex

FILO PFAS-Free Nomex

FILO uses Nomex® material that holds the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certificate. The OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certification ensures that textiles undergo rigorous testing to detect harmful substances. It establishes a high standard for textile safety, encompassing every stage from yarn production to the final product. Products adorned with the STANDARD 100 label guarantee that they have successfully cleared safety assessments, confirming their absence of harmful substances, including PFAS chemicals.

Nomex® doesn't inherently contain PFAS chemicals. However, PFAS may be present in some instances due to the finish applied to the fabric. Certain Nomex® brands feature a DWR (Durable Water Repellency) finish that contains PFAS chemicals. The Nomex® fabric utilized by FILO is treated with a "wickable" finish that is PFAS-free, offering a safer alternative.

For added assurance regarding the absence of PFAS in our finished product, we conducted testing through a third-party laboratory, Applied Technical Services. The results, accessible here, confirm that no PFAS were detected in our product.
